This year, we are shifting with you!
As our world has opened up again, the desire for structured programming during the summer has lessened. And so, we are shifting in ways that reflect the needs of our beloved students, the conditions of our time, and nonetheless allow us to come together to honor the values and curriculum of the African Nova Scotian Freedom School.
In lieu of a monthlong program this summer, we will host the first African Nova Scotian Freedom Summit at Saint Mary's University, August 26-27, 2022. The Summit is free and welcome to all students between the ages of 12-18 who self-identify as Black and live in Nova Scotia.
