Enrolling at The African Nova Scotian Freedom School

The African Nova Scotian Freedom School meets each Tuesday and Thursday in August from 1-3 PM on Zoom. If you do not have access to a pad, computer or smartphone, you can dial into class.


Enrollment to The African Nova Scotian Freedom School is reserved for teens, ages 12-18, who identify as Black or are of African descent. Parents, adults, and unregistered students may not attend the Tuesday and Thursday sessions. Enrollment may be completed by filling out this form


The African Nova Scotian Freedom School program is free for registered students. 


Fifty (50) students will be chosen 1) in the order of enrollment and 2) in a manner that assures age and gender parity, as well as 3) participation from a wide variety of Nova Scotian communities, both rural and metropolitan.
